About me
I grew up as a Gen X queer and bisexual Chinese and Vietnamese American, a refugee/immigrant and first generation college student who didn't fit in anywhere. So I had to figure out who I was and what my feelings and needs were and to eventually use my voice while balancing my cultural values. I was always fascinated by human psychology and social issues, and had a deep desire to help others and that is why I decided to become a clinical psychologist focusing on multicultural and diversity issues. I have also volunteered with numerous grassroots LGBTQ+ and Asian Pacific Islander organizations, which helps inform my anti-racist, intersectional, and DEI lens in all levels of my work.

My education and training
I earned my B.A. in Psychology with a Minor in Women's Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant International University, Los Angeles, with an emphasis in Multicultural Community Clinical Psychology. I've been licensed as a psychologist in California since 2008 (#PSY22006). Most of my clinical trainings and work experiences have been at community mental health and university counseling center settings due to my passion to serve youth, young adults, and marginalized individuals.
I have completed the accredited 40-hr training in victim advocacy at California State University, Fresno, and 100+ hours of training in LGBTQ issues, including bisexual and pansexual issues, transgender and non-binary issues, and other sex and sexuality issues including polyamory/ethical-non-monogamy and kink/BDSM practices.
